Living Armor vs Transmogrification Curse (and bonus questions)

    Step 1. Play Living Armor
Step 2. Turn Living Armor into an ally
Step 3. Opponent Transmo Curses said turned-into-ally-Living-Armor

Can I play another Living Armor?

The Cursed Armor is an artifact but does it lose its other types**?

Actually, it's posible to play an Armor when you already have one in play, it just destroy the existing one? What happens in the case of a TCursed Living Armor?

sub question: Is it the same for an item turned in an ally by Wand of Izikus and then TCursed? Can an artifact of the same name be played (say Tome of Knowledge)?

**sub question #2: do Cursed ally lose their ally subtype? Apparently they do since they can't be targeted by Sacrificial Lamb or Retreat. Is this implicit or should it be clarified on TCurse?

ps: I'm sorry if you thought this was a New Kids on the Block related question. Oooooh baby! Gonna get to you gu-u-u-url!

    Heya,

    1. Items are inherently unique. As such, you can't have 2 items with the same name in play at a given time. In your Tome of Knowledge example, you would not be able to play a second Tome of Knowledge after the first has had Transmogrification Curse used on it (even though the Tome in play no longer has any effect text). You would have to use Wand of Izikus on it again to turn it into an ally so you could play a second copy of Tome of Knowledge from your hand.

A card that has Transmogrification Curse used on it will turn into an item - artifact. We know it has to be an item because an artifact is a subtype of an item; you can't have an artifact without it being an item in the same way you can't have a support ability without it being an ability. Living Armor will follow the same logic as Tome of Knowledge. Items are inherently unique and you already have an Item - Artifact named "Living Armor" in play that will prevent you from playing another Living Armor. Usually you can replace one armor with another, but the Living Armor currently in play will be an artifact (and not an armor) so that wont work.

    2. Yes, cursed allies lose their subtype and become "Item - Artifact" with no special effect text. Think of the card as being pretty much blank except for its name, cost, and card type.

    Hope that helps
