Are Solo style heroes still worth playing?

SF has brought a fair amount of new cards that add a lot more ID to the game and I was wondering if playing solo style is still a viable option or is it destined to become obsolete?

I would say yes and no. I don't think problem lies directly to ID though. You see you are kinda limited to number of copies you can carry. It is for most decks 4 at most and those are priest and rogues with best item destruction in game. Rest may or may not carry that much because neutral ID is not really effective. What posses more problems to solo deck is intrudution to heavy hitter allies like Eris, Nathanias and Infernus, and also more hasted allies like Krygon and Viska.

I really want to figure out a solo Threbin deck. I played it once on the live server and I actually decked out before I killed my opponent...

If by solo you mean completely solo, then I'd say they never were really viable.

I'd like to see an allyless decklist that couldn't be improved by the inclusion of 6 to 12 dudes.

Even Lone Wolf Moonstalker plays allies.

Like others said, it depends on what solo means.
I had fun and success with my Nishaven deck on the TS though I replaced the Urgion with Twilight Herald and discovered its really neat connection to Ritualist's Headdress.
