The fact that it can only be used by Hunters does not make it a Hunter card. The only weapon with an actual class designation is What Big Teeth, because it's a "Wulven Item - Weapon". All others, even if they are only for one class are not "Hunter Item - Weapon", they are "Hero Item - Weapon" which means they are not a "typed" item, just a generic hero item that is only usable by a specific class.

We're not missing your point, just stating how the actual mechanics work, and how they're based on the specific wording of the card type, not the icon of who can use them.

Actually there is one more and that is Throwing Knife:

I would like to see something similar for Victor in the future. This seems like an unexplored territory for SE, especially now that we are being introduced with cards that can make some use of such classification. For example Mentle of the Yari, could activate of some future Warrior Item - Weapon or Armor.

I think it ties to the fact that these two weapons were not only from the first set, but were designed very early on, before the rest of the weapons were designed, and a universal format agreed upon. Really just an oversight on Wulven's part when they finalized the syntax for all the designed cards and set them to print. Now that wording can't be undone, or there'd be disparity between the digital versions and the physical CotC cards.
