To any new SE player , pop ups are ..like a what the hell is this kinda thing?
A random tourney at this or that time? And wtf is GMT to me anyway?
I'm just gonna go play QM or the AI. And besides that, what is this IRC thing?
If your new to SE, I can't tell you how much fun pop ups are.
Let me tell you a few things.
1) since they are all custom matches you don't lose any rating!
2) if you win or place you get a good amount of Shadow Crystals to buy cards
3) you get to play against at least 1 if not more top SE players and learn a few tips about new decks and the meta!
4) you might just make a few friends and start really getting into SE. Regardless of guilds , we all want SE to succeed and will be happy to help.
5) let me say it again, you might win! Let me tell you that's really something.

Pop ups are almost always hosted by guilds but open to any SE player. They are fast'ish tourneys that are over in a couple of hours. Whether sponsored by Wulven/Kyle ( the owners of the game) or paid by guild funds or individual players accounts, pop ups are a great way to enjoy this game.
If your new, just check out the forums and you'll get the thread to new games, use the shout box and somebody will direct you to the place you need to be.
But come out and play. That's the whole point of the game. Very few win everything, maybe you are the new winner, but for the vast majority, we are here to play have fun and continue to build the SE community and game!

SE is hands down , the best Card game out there and our community proves it. If your new, come out and play, your the whole reason this game lives on!
