Reporting Abusive Players

Competitive gameplay with a chat option will always have this behavior even if a strong abuse system is in place. Look at league of legends, they have the best in game reporting system and mods who actually review the cases and apply discipline. Even with this however the nerd rage persists.

My post was simply trying to illustrate that there is nothing the devs or mods can do in a preventative nature other than what they already did. If you dont like what your opponent says, turn him off.

I personally love when my opponent trashtalks/nerd rages. They arent focused on the game at that point and clearly feel cornered.

Best internet advice for bullies/rage/trashtalk: Dont feed the trolls.

I prefer a system where I could potentially get offended than one where I can't chat with my opponent and only click one of six buttons.

You can turn chat off per game if someone is being rude. Don't tell them though, so they waste their time typing it.

Blizz support just conserving their time, noone would report abusive chat.

Thanks, I sent an email to support. It was a player trying to get people to accept draws in meltdown, by drawing out games excessively with run out of the game clock. It turns a 20 minute game into an hour or longer game. Not fun at all. So either you have to take his draw or concede 40 minutes into it, or win or lose an hour later. It slows him down too, but I guess he gets a number of people who just accept a draw.
