The game hurts new players

As a fairly new player myself, I would like to express my views on the system through which we earn gold at the moment.
As a new player, it is incredibly hard to earn gold to buy specific cards at the moment as quests give pitifully little and the only way to earn more gold is by defeating other players in QMs. However, when you're new, the cards you have will just be basic cards, and your deck would be way too weak to actually win against other QM players. This leads to a long, unhappy grind up until you hit Level 5 where you can buy the Elementalis

Starter Deck and sell it all to gain some gold.
In my opinion, this really hurts new players and especially players who play for free because they are unwilling to spend money on something that they just got into. If there could be changes made towards this problem, I feel like a more people would be inclined to keep on playing after trying it out for the first time.

I agree with you totally which is why in a week or so im going to be publishing some articles aimed at new player to help

(one of them is improved starter decks).

I'll also talk the Gondorian when im at the UK games Expo at the end of the month

There's not much you can do about it before the campaign mode.

I would say investing 10$ isn't too bad and gives a lot but I also understand that people might just not want to spend that much.

Devs also need income, dear folks. I'll very much prefer the current no-ads status quo.

agreed but the starter deck do need a update (SF will be here Soon TM) so starter deck with some DP commons would help a lot.

I agree that at low levels it can be tedious grinding to afford good cards, but if it was too easy then there would be no incentive to spend money, and Wulven would go bankrupt. In fact, Shadow Era is more F2P friendly than most. At least if you keep playing you will eventually be able to have a top tier deck without ever spending a cent - in some games that isn't even a possibility. Besides, if you keep logging on to get the free card, on average that's another 100 gold for free everyday, and you might get a card you need

always the earn free shadow crystals link. I was lucky, when i started there was a task wherein i just have to answer a survey and it awarded me 196 gold. I was able to buy 2 human mage starter decks and build a fairly competitive deck from teh gold that I won.

just focus on getting one really good deck, then start winning pop up tournaments, and then you will have the whole set in whole time, to just buy 100 jasmines if you already have all teh cards....

(I actually dont suggest buying 100 of any card, when you add 4 of it to a deck it lags the crap out of the deck builder)
