    Im in quite a pickle?

Hey guys, im in quite a pickle. Im trying to trim down the following deck to atleast 42 and i had problems with that task. So im aking you out there for help.

    Zhanna Mist

    Allies: 17
    4x Devoted Lightbearer
    3x Zailen Crusader
    4x Knight of Unaxio
    1x Braxnorian Soldier
    1x Paladin of Unaxio
2x Knight of the Golden Dawn
    2x Gunther, General of Balor

    Abilities/Items: 22
    3x Sacred Fire Walker
    4x Treasured Heirloom
    3x Zail's Hymn
    3x Focused Prayer
    2x Banish
    3x A Legend Rises
    4x Tidal Wave

    Weapons/Armors: 6
    4x Wizent's Staff
    2x The King's Pride

    Total: 45 + Zhanna

    http://db.deckmill.com/#f08s7jhbxtJ3...d9dfvCmLnJwFp5

    Allies:
    3cc
Devoted Lightbearer: Makes your fatties come faster and he himself has steadfast if an attachment is atttached to him.

Zailen Crusader: With 13 attachments she is a decent option for the spot of the 3cc ally

    4cc
Knight of Unaxio: Can consume abbilities to give him delf a major buff. But the best part about him is that he has steadfast so he cannot be removed so easily

    5cc
Paladin of Unaxio: Great against mages (seriously) , allies that inflict ice or fire damage (e.g. Frosted Urigon, Furion Terror,...) and status moves. Problem: In a matchup were u cant utilize his kit he is lackluster.

Knight of the Golden Dawn: Its always nice to have an ally with 4 attack and the synergie with Zhanna is great. Meant for the late game were he cannot be removed so easily (through a MC or Assasination).

Braxnorian Soldier: Tech card against weenies and haste.

Gunther, General of Balor: The reson he is in this deck is that he has steadfast and can function as kind of an aldon.

    Abilities:
Sacred Fire Walker: The fire imunity is awesome and catch peaople offguard. Aditionaly the two dmg allso deal with pesky allies like Wulven savage and karash.

    Banish: Against PB esque allies.

Legend Rises: Increases attack and health which is great. It also functions as a tech card against CB, CP, etc.

    Goal:
PLay allies and buff them through attachments or the abilities of other cards (Thats why i like steadfast. Buffed allies cannot be removed by a simple retreat).

Addition: Allies and attachments are cheaper through your 3cc allies.

I would also appreciate other card suggestions.
    Thanks for your help.

Ahhhh it's always tough to cut cards from a deck. So I'm not gonna give u a "cut this cut that, add this add that". Instead I'll share with you my own strategy when trimming down the deck. Or "fixing" it.

    1. Ask myself. "How often do I use this card?
    2. Does this card have more than one possible scenario to use?
    3. Is there a cheaper alternative for this card?
    4. Is this card goes well with mana curve?

Also, I think zhanna can still be viable at 45 cards. I see zhanna as a toolbox deck where 2 copies of a card is sufficient because it will all come down to sacrificing the right cards. I do think you need enough draw cards to get your cards. I'm not a fan of treasured heirloom simply because you need allies to die in order to benefit. I would rather much have Elizabeth Winterborn or Glass Chalice of Knowing.

A forum member named Pjoe has a 50+ card zhanna deck that does fairly well in 300+ rating. Maybe you can track him and seek out his advice.

I appreciate the advice but i think it would be better if you would explain why these cards are not needed and why the newly added are better.

I thought this was a thread for The Sandlot...

I would say maybe cut back on the 3x attachments. You cannot play attachments without allies.

I would also agree Devoted Knight > Devoted Lightbearer

Cut the 1 of's because y have only 1 x an ally? Doesn't make sense. Focus on what your bad mu's require to make them less bad.

Devoted helps u get the resources to do what Light bearer does except its more versatile and permanent.
