I hope there will be a mode to see all cards in the hand of the AI and see what decision he is making each turn. A spectator mode, watching your AI code/tree playing the game for yourself. This will be the way to validate if your AI is taking good decisions or not.

Or a mode to play against your AI with cards face up.... this might be easier to implement.

As a community activist for SE, I think this is a fanctastic way to involve your players in the game!
Not only will it give the game , AI specifically , a chance to be a better challange, it's a way to entice !YOUR! community here to be as involved as they want.
SE already has some of the smartest, most diverse players out there, and from the very young to the pretty old ( I'm not naming names here), they care about everything from game balance/ development to respectful interaction and the growth of SE which is the community.
I am very impressed at this move, as your staff is going to be flooded with decks when it comes out and I hope your ready for that.
Non inclusion of a deck or play style created by and active and respected member will bring thread upon thread of questions and rants, but I guess your used to that.

As for myself ( A1 member and proud supporter of SE) I think it's a pretty bold move, but please, get the art and SF release finialized first!

As I said, this project is good for engaging the community. But then make it start and end with preset dates so that it's not going to take another year.

Wulven this is a brilliant business move.
+ Saves countless hours for your resources (which is time and money)
+ Actively involves the SE community
+ Will produce a better final product (many people will take pride in what they create)

The most important thing now is to ensure the AI crafting tool is a polished product and not overly buggy.

This seems very cool, and I'm interested in the AI improvement. As a shameless suggestion, if the gold rewards could be increased in some fashion based on AI difficulty, that would give the single player a greater sense accomplishment and keep them playing (speaking as a single player that is tired of grinding a drunk AI)
