Rapacious Vermin nerfed- why?

So it seems that rapacious vermin can no longer target enemy abilities like it used to, just items. This ally was already used very seldom on the test server and not considered at all overpowered, I think I was the only person I ever saw run it. Was this a deliberate nerf by the design team or an error when transferring to the live server?

Did the actual text on the card change, or is it just not working properly? Cause there is nothing I remember saying they'd nerfed it, so probably just a bug.

It no longer affects abilities and the text seems to have changed as well so now it can only target items. Basically it makes it a worthless card and mages (who were the only ones likely to get some use out of it due to transmogrify) should stick with Scourge for creature based item destruction. Basically a weakish but useful in a certain build card is now completely worthless. Bit of a shame really.

I'm pretty sure rapacious vermin could never target abilities. I used it on test server because I thought it could, but that's only Gaderi Reaver.

It never targeted abilities. It just let you count abilities towards the 3 required.
