Not a bug, at least if I'm understanding what the situation is here correctly. Allies are "readied" (going from exhausted to unexhausted) at the end of your turn, not your opponent's turn, so if he kills Aeon on his turn, he wouldn't yet be readied when your turn came. I believe it actually did work the way you described until recently, at least with this combo, and that was a bug according to the ruling.

That is a bug. If you went through your opponents turn, then you should have been able to attack then. Unless the scenario presented is in your turn, in the same turn. But hire did your opponent kill aeon then?
Nope, not a bug. Aeon was killed in the opponent's turn, returned to play exhausted by Earthen Protector, but was not readied on 4Ak's turn because your allies do not ready themselves at the end of an opponent's turn, only at the end of your own turn. So the end of 4Ak's turn hadn't come by the time the opponent killed Aeon and it was returned.Originally Posted by lykos1991

yup, I think tman is right.
thats why phoenix built this way:
Phoenix Urigon
Mage Ally
cc4 atk2 hp4
When Phoenix Urigon is killed while it is not ablaze, it returns to play set ablaze, with +1 base attack and +1 health, and it is readied at the end of the turn. When Phoenix Urigon is ablaze, it deals fire combat damage.

mmm I think it not worked this way before. I remember when I played this combo with Lance about year ago and I think I could attack by returned ally by Eathern. But if it is right by rules now... Eathern Protector is very weak card than. Oponent can deal with two allys for next turn just by killing one.

You are 100% right. It actually still works that way, ...if you are still on a pre 2.8 client.
Wulven,
Different rules for different versions is bad development practice. Put the logic on the server, not the client. Then you have one code base being executed, no 6 or more. This is also a big reAson it takes you so long, you have to push change to many places, some like Apple can take weeks to update. If it was server, you could easily make multiple changes per day, if you were so inclined. Now it takes at least a month for a single change.
