It seems once they start giving out a specific 2* cover, they keep giving it for a while. Lately they've done that with Moonstone, Ares, Daken and Bullseye. I think he means 600 reward and rewards below top 50. Not random PvP rewards.
3* or Mohawk Storm is said to be coming up soon from what I have seen on the forums. Think about the days before they released Lazy Daken. They gave out quite a few Daken covers in the events. I would guess this will be no different.

Noob question but when using color damage boost, does the opponent benefit when matching your boosted colors?
