Yup, that's what I realised. Say you have a featured hero with red, yellow or green as primary color. When the hero is buffed, it will take away all the colors for patch and his red become worthless.

I seen roster who deliberately keep their other heroes under levelled so that they can maximise patch red. That's too much planning for me.

Another point to note for 5/3/5 patch is that the green still works well with low cost ability. Like cpt marvel, her red is so low cost. I could fire off 2 red blasts after I use patch green. It's not cmag OP but still strong enough as a finisher.

Patch green also worked well with daken blue. Daken blue only 5 AP and it's easy to have 10 blue; fire off 1 patch green. Kill off 2 characters with 2x daken blue. Kill off last character with match dmg.

All in all, I believe that 5/3/5 patch is the more flexible option. Changing playing style is easy (use patch green as a finisher only). Changing your team to tank 3 or more colors is tough.

it's a long story, but everyone here at se who plays/played mpq all joined ETC alliance first. A few of us (me, atomzed, pjoe) joined other alliances when ETC was starting to miss out on the top 100 alliance rewards always by only a few ranks. The top 100 alliance rewards were important to 'serious' players since there are covers.

however, atomzed and i were still eventually overwhelmed by the alliance requirements for pve. we were on the brink of quitting the game entirely then I decided to give it one last try and form a 'casually-serious' pvp-only alliance which has no requirement for pve. Because atomzed and I did have a good stint and time with the 5deadlyalliances - I formed the 5deadlybanes with the consent of the high command of the 5da. Similarly exhausted 5da players from 5deadlycurses/toxins joined the 5deadlybanes and formed the base, together with some d3 recruits who were also tired of pve.

many of the SE players later came over to banes and right now, we are doing very well and are always top 50/25 for pvp, ensuring hp and cover rewards for every member. the catch is that every individual member must hit 1950 pts for every set of 3 pvps (average of 650 pts per pvp) - or be kicked. EVERY PVP must be played unless one has applied for leave at least 3 weeks in advance.

i think ETC still has some SE players like kent and others. PB might have more details.

ETC has a couple of SE players still, but most of us either left the game, went casual, or joined banes.

I still get plenty of time in SE though Gondorian, no need to fret

I left ETC as i'm not playing much and holydays are coming, . Might as well really come back to SE.
