You don't participate at Olympics or World Cups as Asia/America/Europe/excetera but as Japan/Argentina/Honduras/San Marino/excetera.
So I won't allor merging of smaller countries, it would deny some value to the tournament. I'm sorry for players from smaller countries who can't join this one, but there are still plenty of tournaments out there, so one less is not the end of the world

Right now a phew teams have already reached the minimum of 3 players, but we still miss many important ones, so signups can still go on

And regarding the rules of qualifying stage, how would you adapt Bo3 into swiss round system? 1 point for a match win?
