Heya,

Yes, you can destroy traps with item removal cards because traps are items. You will know how much a trap costs because your opponent has to tell you how many resources they have left at any given time. In the digital game, you will actually be able to see how much they have spent on a trap they just played. For the time being there are no traps above 4 cost so Artful Squire will always be able to destroy a trap.
