Ever since this site was updated to the modern bright screen and new graphics, there has been an annoying glitch, on all platforms that I have tried, that I haven't seen mentioned:

When you load a new page (go into a subforum or open the main forum or open a thread or whatever) the entire page loads, and then after a couple of seconds - JERK - everything scrolls down as something is tweeked at the very top of the page. I think it happens at the top of the chat box.

If it is simply unavoidable, then nevermind my complaint. But if something can be fixed so that each page displays correctly in the first place instead of jerking away right when I am attempting to click on some tiny little arrow, I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't get that on Safari on Mac OSX Mavericks.

Well its because the Chat Box loads like 4 seconds later than the rest of the page. That's pretty much it. Its annoying bcuz it caused some mistaps for me when using iPad but its no big deal

Presently I'm using Firefox under Windows 8, or Safari for iOS.

I've tried Chrome (Windows) and several browsers for iOS and they all twitch. I'm not sure why, as space has been allocated, but somehow something cause it to jerk every time.

I'm not sure it is the Chatbox's fault. I think it happens on every page, but it is very hard for me to see what is causing it.

The twitch happens in some border region (Facebook logo zone or View First Unread or something).

Recipe:

Go to the top of this page.
Hit Refresh.
See the content populate the screen.
Watch the bottom of the screen.
The line that says 'Thread Tools' does a sort of double- or triple-jog.
All info below this line is forced down.

The culprit appears to be the Facebook branding line not being budgeted for. It is not draw or allocated for when the page is loaded. It does not get its final size when it is inserted after the page has loaded. That line gets re-sized about four seconds after the entire page has loaded.

On some pages the Chatbox appears to be re-sized, on others it's the Facebook logo.

For whatever reason, some divs do not retain a consistent position on the page. They are added or changed after everything else has loaded. Whatever....

It's a small, recurring annoyance. Small enough that nobody has mentioned it for what, ten months? Is it a big deal? No. But it's annoying, and it happens all the time....
