Thumbs down Can't connect to any game

Can't play at all in any scenario. Tried different browsers and networks, and i always get these messages:

"Connection to the game server was lost" or "Failed to connect to the game server".

    I'm on a Mac, OSX 10.8.5

Sorry for not seeing this earlier, but unfortunately I'm not quite sure what's up either. To me it sounds like you may have a firewall or connectivity issue. I'm not really that familiar with mac either so I'm not sure where you would find those settings.

    The mac firewall is located

System Prefrences > Security & Privacy > Firewall

Here you can just turn off your firewall, that might fix it.

Do you have the stand-alone Shadow Era application? If you don't you can go to the App Store and download Shadow Era for free. That might also fix it.

If it doesn't you can go back to your firewall and go to Firewall Options > Click the "+" on the left > Select Shadow Era > and "allow incoming connections" (but this is only if you have the application).

Uhm, I'm not sure if blocking cookies would prevent shadow era from working? But to unblock cookies
Open Safari > Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Block All Cookies > Never
Open Firefox > Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Tracking

Uhm, make sure you enable JavaScript? That's under Preferences > Security for safari and under Preferences > Content for firefox

And that's all of the things I can think of to try. Hope something works

The problem only happens when i try to play on the test server. I can play without any problems on the standalone and on the web.
I tried disabling firewall, little snitch, etc... Java and cookies are enabled. Everything works perfectly, the test server does not

Tested on a windows partition and it works fine. The issue is on the Mac side. Does anyone here using a mac has the same problem?

Wow, well that kind of sucks. I can confirm that the test server DOES work on my mac, but I'm running Mavericks. . . so I don't know
