So I'm not sure what to call things like Ambush, Defender, Haste, Protector, Steadfast, and Stealth, but that is what this is about. Keywords! They should be called keywords. Thanks Preybird Plus I figure this will help if you're beta testing and want to know any of this information.
So here it is
Ambush:
Heroes:
Lance Shadowstalker (Rogue)
Darkclaw (Wulven)
Ythan Redthorn (Hunter)
Allies:
Dirk Saber (Human)
Nightshade (Rogue)
Wendith Eagle-eye (Hunter)
Midnight Sentinel (Human)
Deepwood Bobcat (Hunter)
Dragnis, Lord of the Wood (Hunter) (Gives other hunter allies ambush)
Abilities:
Surprise Attack (Hunter)
Silent Strike (Rogue)
Nocturnal Advantage (Shadow)
Backstab (Rogue)
Wulven Resilience (Wulven)
Items:
Assassin's Cloak (Rogue)
Dreadclaw Totem (Wulven)
Weapons:
Throwing Knife (Rogue)
Bone Sabre (Mage, Hunter)
Armor:
Cloak of Obscurity (Rogue)
Totals:
Human: 2
Shadow: 1
Hunter: 6
Rogue: 7
Mage: 1
So you can see the Rogues and Hunters have a lot of Ambush cards but personally, I'd like to see a bow with Ambush for the hunters. Don't know why there are no Shadow allies with ambush. And I know they're giving hunters ambush and I would like to see a continuation of that.
Defender:
Allies:
Dark Flayer (Shadow)
Cobra Demon (Shadow)
Braxnorian Temptress (Warrior)
Abilities:
Alert and Able (Warrior)
Battle Hardened (Warrior)
Weapons:
Guardian's Oath (Hunter)
Totals:
Shadow: 2
Warrior: 3
Hunter: 1
So I'm kind of disappointed on the lack of defender allies and abilities here. Where's defender in SF? Where's defender for Humans? I can't imagine defender ruining the game, so I'm not sure why it's so limited. So, I would like to see a lot more allies with defender.
Haste:
Heroes:
Lance Shadowstalker (Rogue)
Allies:
Kristoffer Wyld (Human)
Fleet-footed Messenger (Human)
Wild Berserker (Warrior)
Lightning Hunter (Wulven)
Zealous Mystic (Human)
Demetreyo, Twilight Extremist (Human)
Viska, The Scarlet Blade (Human)
Frostmare (Shadow)
Rampant Krygon (Shadow)
Ravager Zealot (Shadow)
Deepwood Bobcat (Hunter)
Dread Wolf (Wulven)
Abilities:
Portal (Mage)
Midnight Howl (Wulven)
Will to Fight (Neutral)
Armor:
Rothem's Visage (Warrior)
Pride of the Yari (Warrior)
Totals:
Human: 5
Shadow: 3
Warrior: 3
Mage: 1
Hunter: 1
Rogue: 1
Wulven: 3
Neutral: 1
So everyone has the ability to take advantage of haste. Granted some of these allies need conditions to be met in order to get haste, it's still pretty easy to get something in your deck with haste, especially after SF. Haste is definitely good at turning the "Tides of Battle!" so take advantage of it.
Hidden:
Allies:
Jade of the Forest (Hunter)
Abilities:
Into the Forest (Hunter)
Lay Low (Rogue)
Lost in the Woods (Wulven)
Totals:
Hunter: 2
Rogue: 1
Wulven: 1
I have to be honest with this one. I think hidden is a failed mechanic in Shadow Era. I think the problem is it inherently promotes stall type situations. No new hidden cards with Shattered Fates. I wonder what the future holds for "hidden"?
Protector:
Heroes:
Tala Pureheart (Warrior)
Allies:
Birgitte Skullborn (Human)
Aeon Stormcaller (Human)
Yari Spearman (Warrior)
Griptooth (Wulven)
Abilities:
Warrior Training (Warrior)
Armor:
Mocking Armor (Warrior, Elemental)
Totals:
Human: 2
Warrior: 5
Elemental: 1
Wulven: 1
Wow, so protector is really a human/warrior only thing. Don't know why the Shadows don't have at least one protector ally. Also I would like to see protector for a Priest Ally. (Just makes sense, right?) But it makes sense keeping this a mainly warrior (and maybe priest) thing.
Steadfast:
Allies:
Spirit Warden (Human)
Gunther, General of Balor (Human)
Kairos Doombringer (Shadow)
Devoted Lightbearer (Priest)
Knight of Unaxio (Human)
Twilight Warden (Human)
Infernus, Tyrant of the Damned (Shadow)
Yari Shieldbearer (Warrior)
Stardust Extractor (Elemental)
Stardust Ampliflyer (Elemental)
Abilities:
Assumed Command (Neutral)
Stand Firm (Neutral)
Exaltation (Elemental)
Totals:
Human: 4
Shadow: 2
Warrior: 1
Priest: 1
Elemental: 3
Neutral: 2
So steadfast was introduced with DP and it definitely adds another level to the game. Interesting to see after SF, the Elementals are going to have a definite advantage with regard to steadfast. It's funny how right now, steadfast is just a mere annoyance. Interesting to see if steadfast will be a strategy in the future. (I hope!)
Stealth:
Heroes:
Lance Shadowstalker (Rogue)
Moonstalker (Wulven)
Allies:
Erika Shdowhunter (Human)
Nightshade (Rogue)
Night Owl (Rogue)
Agent Rex (Rogue)
Abilities:
Cover of Night (Human)
Silent Strike (Rogue)
Armor:
Cloak of Obscurity (Rogue)
Totals:
Human: 2
Rogue: 6
Wulven: 1
Wow. I'm surprised I don't see more stealth cards. I'm also surprised there are no SF stealth cards. Is stealth OP, you think? Ah, I don't think so, but it's probably a good idea to keep it pretty limited, only allowing the rogues and moonstalker to take full advantage of it.
Grand Totals:
Human: 15
Shadow: 8
Warrior: 12
Mage: 2
Hunter: 10
Priest: 1
Rogue: 15
Wulven: 6
Elemental: 4
Neutral: 3
Not sure what this says about anything, but here it is! ...you're welcome.
