Question Deck Size Formula and High Cost cards

For some time, I have been playing only with 40 card decks (not counting the Hero, that makes 41) following the curve formula listed below. I usually reserve spots for cards higher that cc4 for Weapons and/or Armor. Currently, I am looking at deck ideas when the new set comes out and considering higher cost non-Weapons/Armor at times. I could just swap out spots using lower cost Weapons/Armor, I am curious if anyone else has formulas they follow and how to determine going above 40, how above 40 affects the cruve in general. There have been exceptions such as if I do not include a cc5 Weapon/Armor, I will use a creature at that cost.

The basic formula I have used for every Hero so far.

    Allies
    4x cc1
    4x cc2
    3x cc3 #1
    3x cc3 #1
    4x cc4

    Non Allies
    4x cc1
    4x cc2
    4x cc3
    4x cc4

    Weapons/Armor
    3x cc5
    3x cc6

i bet those 8 1cc cards are very helpful late game.

I don't follow a certain code. its different for every hero.

I personally lean for a fairly heavier ally count most of the time with a heavier emphasis on 3cc or 4cc allies in most of my Decks.

I usually just throw in a bunch of cards and hope they work together But seriously, I usually have around 2 or 3 cards I want to base my deck off of (Like in my Darkclaw deck I wanted to use Fangs of the Predator, and Howlfang) and then I just build around that. Of course, doing this makes me spend a lot of time playing matches and tweaking.
