For those of you like me who are a bit mental and remember what your highest ranking ever was, this is a place you can post it. I suppose this also works as a means to acknowledge all the players that are better than me (and likely will remain so for infinity in my case)
All in all, I think ShadowEra's ranking / quick match system is a good one. It keeps track of your relative skill, shows how alive and vibrant the game currently is, allows you to 'study' the pros and matches you up with those of similar skill. There aren't many games on the market that do all those things.
As for my ranking story, when I first started playing I think I slowly climbed into the 200's-280's (although rankings were formulated differently then). As my card pool and skill increased I inched up to around 300, then, for the longest time, every time I got just above 300 I'd lose a bunch of games, until recently when I squeaked up to 311 primarily using Amber. So, there it is. Still not sure how those players climb into the 330's plus.
