It depends on what my deck is.
If I have high health allie, I would take out LW
If I have an elad rush, I would take out LW
If my win condition focuses on me having allies I would take away, SS
If I have around 4 item destruction for weapon, I would take out LW.

I usually try to get the Speed Strike out. My strategy is to take the 4 Speed Strike and deal with Lone Wolf with my allies.
In a Boris or Priest deck I deal with LW with the help of King's Pride.
In lance's deck I put out a swarm of allies.
And in Amber I don't really have to care about LW.
Also, you can deal with LW with the help of a Crippling Blow or a Captured Prey.

Against solo Moonstalker, it is almost always better to remove Lone Wolf. Moonstalker is easily able to prevent or reduce damage for several turns at a time, which combined with Lone Wolf makes it very difficult to reduce Moonstalker's health and eventually kill him.
Against solo Darkclaw, frequently better to remove Speedstrike, since he can't hide quite as easily and tends to try and be aggressive, dealing lots of damage as quickly as possible.
When against non-solo decks, it depends on a variety of factors, including how easily you can keep an ally alive on their sir of the board while minimizing its impact and how quickly you can do damage.
