I've been playing your deck lately, with a couple alterations.

I subbed out the Weevils for Wulven Savages. Do a similar job for me, but, I like the Savages a bit better against some heroes.

I subbed out the Novas for Magma Jackals. I had been struggling with some elementalis decks and thought that the Magma Jackals would help me more than the Novas. (but, as soon as I changed the Elementalis disappeared)

At any rate I've been enjoying your deck. It's playing pretty well for me. (even with my alterations which have no doubt weakened it)

I think Bad Santa suits the deck a lot better than ToK: when you have Portal on the field you want a cheap card that lets you draw allies: here BS is better than Tome
When you want to finish off your opponent with burns you need to draw multiple cards to get the fireball/supernova. Here BS is better than Tome.
So most of the time BS > ToK in Majiya imho.

You could always use Brutal Minotaur instead. Molten Destroyer is not too bad of a choice either.

Oh, I didn't even know it works that way, thought all cards are there to buy at all times. Buying boosters then is an option to get it? So it is a pay to win game after all, so stupid of me to think otherwise. But it's wrong thread for this, isn't it sorry for that.

Haha...dude...Scourge is really only viable in 2 builds...portal maj/gb(not as good as maj) and moonstalker....hardly a pay to win card.

You can use him in any shadow deck ofc, but good luck keeping him alive consistently enough.

About the deck though, Raph. Its alot easier to beat Amber with just sov and acid jet, and of course your 2 scourge. Why get all cute with the weevil's? And Nova isnt my cup of tea in a portal deck...seems counter productive. What mu's does it help u with?

Nova gives me another route to win, ie sac lamb deathrace burn. Weevils is just something I like , not essential, yes.
