Looking for some image critiques (Logo & Layout)

I'm doing some graphic submissions for a hopeful startup (they're under no obligation to use these, they're just images I worked up for submission should they want them) - and I'm curious if I can get some opinions on them:

first, the logo:



And then, the rough layout (1280x720):

well if this logo is on a page the "bitvid" name will be way too small compared to the 3 boxes of emptiness.

My suggestion is too blow up the "bitvid" section and minimize the blue green and red boxes proportionally and since bitvid section is a box put the 3 boxes as a background + a 4th color box. Not sure how this will look because it might be too much colors going on. but the bitvid part will not be too small now

But you can also simply just use the "bitvid" section as a logo

Let me tell you what I get from the logo and that will tell you if you were successful in the design of the logo.
( we used to do this in college and at an ad firm I used work for)

It's very graphic, implying tight businesslike company, the squares are keys from a keyboard implying its a computer based company, in some way. Of course the title gives that away BitVid, assuming its a computer based video company. ( doing whatever)

I think the logo is very simple and tight. It grabs the attention, it's so simple it's rememberable. I also like the typeface and that u kept it all lowercase.
I would scratch up a few more and see where that leads you, maybe something flashy that might give this logo a little more energy.

As for the web page, I agree with Jo3yb0i, the logo is lost up there in the corner, bump it up a little. Also if your going to present this fill all the field w fake adds and content, so it doesn't look like a bunch of square,
Your the visual artist, it's your job to show this client ( who may not be visual or able to see what you see instinctively) so never give them blank space! So just dump some appropriate content in there and that will also help you see if the proportions are working!
