we had deck submission so you cant adjust your deck (in the past you could, i didnt require you to have a set deck until you play, just set heroes which i asked for you to post). also, match ups mean a little less in my SLUGFEST than in other tournaments (not that they are not important). whats more important is designing a deck or two that goes GREAT when going second and the others can do well when going first or second. or have just one that is overall good, one that goes great first and 2 that go great second. thats generally more important than the hero match ups in my SLUGFEST.
i already gave this answer to the question of bye players posting their hero choices.

thats my opinion on it. i might change that if most think its a good idea. i just dont see a reason to.

and WOW, 2 matches in on the first day... wasnt expecting that and even better, the very first one was a SLUGFEST going 7 games

and PLEASE put the bracket LETTER code in your post when reporting scores, makes it so much easier to find you (thanks for doing that Astrx )

I actually think that it may be good to post the hero lists for all players after round 1 is completed. The benefits are

    1) everyone can easily check the hero choices for their opponents. I know that they can check the hero choices by checking the thread, but having a central location to refer to.

    2) It ensures a level playing field, as the players who played first round, will not be kept in the dark about their 2nd round opponent hero choices.

If I know my opponent is playing a Gwen, Banebow, zhanna, baduruu, I may not want to play my mage on the first game, as I am at a poor match up for 3 out of 4 heroes.

Ultimately cait you are the TO, so I leave it to you to decide.

If you don't post hero choices everybody with a bye gets a huge advantage in round 2... on top of already getting a huge advantage in advancing past round 1 for free.

To add. Even with posting heroes those with a bye still get advantage in scouting and knowing what's in their opponent's decks and not just their hero.

I agree with jacqu. Post all the hero choices before round 2 starts so that people do not have advantage

I too am in favour of the bye-getters posting their hero choices. As Jacqui has said, they still have an advantage over us because they have seen some (or even most) of the cards in our decks. Seems only fair that we get something that could influence our hero choices.
