    whay hasnt anyone said anything about the rating system

    Am i missing some hidden forum or news banner?

    i think the rating system is brilliant.. Kinda joins between what you are, who you play, and how much you play. The constant (dividing by 10 seems random) might take some tweaking but i guess that will be at the end of the season once we see how it uncovers

    for those who dont know, you score is: (rating*opponent rating)/100 per game

    The division by 10 is just to keep the scores more manageable, it has no relation on ratios of points earned, only absolute numbers. So why tweak it?

    Well, I'm glad you like it. It was announced in the QM Season 10 thread.

    The points for winning is actually: Points = (your_rating/10)*(opponent_rating/10).

    The 10 is arbitrary and is there to keep the scores a bit more manageable.

    I think the 10 can be tweaked so that your skill level is taken into consideration more than the number of games played. I'd like it to get to a point where you can be at the top of the rankings with a 350+ rating and have have a high enough score to stay on top after playing maybe 100~150 games. Others that are less skilled can still overtake you but they would need to win a whole lot more than 150 games. So if we were to change the formula to:

    (your_rating/8)*(opponent_rating/10)

    that would be taking your skill into account more and you'd need to play less games to be at the top. At the moment, I find it hard to even break the top 100 with a 300+ rating even if i play at least 3 games a day.

    there is a difference between not looking for it and not having it. In your case, you just need to look

    @danae
    The divide by 8 or divide by 10 makes no difference to the final ranking. It just makes everyone end up at a 25% higher score.... how does that reduce the numbers of games needed to get top 100?

    what you wrote is absolutely useless
    a link would be more helpful than what you wrote.

    tweak it as in to put more weight on your rating versus opponent's rating.. and also to make the score even further manageable.
