After reading this it seems like a case were a feather was turned into a flock of chickens... I am so sick of drama at this point, and I really hoped we could avoid it in the SE community...

There is definitely a vague amount of bias against louder people in here. If there is something I do not enjoy it's the very specific policing in SE forums, which is why I think the Code of Conduct is not very good. Don't get me wrong I am not one of those rebel type F*CK RULES and everything person. I am as civil as I an hopeful (of CoC being a great thing) but it's really weird when I see long intricate posts get deleted off into the archive but the petty ones remain. Sure forum staff don't have all day but I don't know why are posts not modded when they are already shown, for example by Mip: http://www.shadowera.com/attachment....6&d=1385420995

I feel like posts are only getting modded when it is convenient to Wulven and the rest of the other ones (for as long as the backlash aren't at them) are kept intact. I am friends with folks in DT and SE staff but sometimes as a viewer/lurker it's frustrating to me when I see those kind of things happening. It's one of the reasons I rarely post here anymore.

If anything I am not keen on Raph leaving SE, but that is not what upsets me. I wish the forum moderation would take a bit of a step back. Censorship is a thin line to cross and I think this forums is treading on the not good side of it. By all means delete "Wulven suxx" posts but not discussions that people still want an answer to. "Direct this to PM" just sounds very autocratic.

I am sorry if it feels like I'm insulting anyone, or people are getting offended but I really just want this place to become what it used to be. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll continue to not posting that much again.

When someone begins their comment with "will probably get booted from forums for this comment" and admits himself that it will be deleted (and moderators are around at the time and are informed of the post) - why is that post still here? I just doesn't understand why any deleting happens at all when posts like these are simply ignored and left alone. By the way, this comment is just stating my concern with a lack of consistency in enforcing the CoC and is not meant as disrespect to Wulven or the moderators.

I didn't leave this game several months ago in noisy protest. I left it quiet a surrender to the many small but appreciable ways this game/company/community (which has some unbelievably awesome people in it) keep cheapening itself. Nothing dramatic...but eventually it became too unpalatable to ignore. I checked back in to see how my old guildies did in the WC. Some great games...but having a double-elim tourney that isn't quite a double elim is incomprehensibly irrational...no matter how many times "TO decisions are FINAL" is offered as an explanation. People were having a rational and reasoned debate about the tourney rules and regs and the thread was closed and directed towards PM's. Why? What could be a more suitable topic for public discussion on a gaming community forum than that? Furthermore, Rafael's posts were germane and informative. Is this small bit of censorship cause for pickets or demonstrations? No. It is just disappointing...as is the owner of a company taking the time mock one of his ardent supporters on the way out the door.

It would all be disheartening if I hadn't already given up and moved on...as have many other decent long standing members of this community.

Please do not continue to bring up the same topic again and again. Especially in somebody's ragequit thread. Explanations have been given already so I won't bother to repeat it now.

The forums were previously very lax on the moderating and the result was not good. Not good at all. We want this to be a friendly place and unfortunately that means topics have to be closed.

I'm sorry if my mocking a ragequitter has disappointed you. I thought that was pretty much standard practice... However, Raph has been with the community for a long time so I'm pretty sure he "gets it."

I can't believe it! You have stood as a pillar of great gamesmanship, player ability and a cool guy who would respond to many silly threads ( myself included) here in SE!
I to take the game seriously, I mean really if it's broken, why play? But to leave In such a fashion after so long is poor my friend.
You have fought and played into the top tier! why leave when you could continue to make a change for the posative? No, I can't begin to understand what you might have brought to light in any deleted post, or who might have stepped on your "right" to make the posts.

I know so much could be better here in SE, and I want to see that happen, but I really believe you are one of us who could make it happen. I hope that this only becomes and extended vacation from a hard fought season and we might see you back here again.
The forums/ game will be less without you.
