WC2013 Regional for Americas (North/Central/South America)

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the 2013 World Championships North/Central/South America Regionals. The rules for the competition are as follows:

• The competition begins Sunday 7pm GMT November 10th
• The matches will be bo3, single elimination with no sideboards (deck lock) with a bo5 finals
• Alternate who goes first in games 1 and 2. Determine who goes first in game 3 randomly.
• The maximum number of players is 128, anybody who wants to sign up after 128 will be placed on a reserve list.
• Players must check in 1 hour before the start, or they will be replaced by a reserve play.
• We recommend playing on PC as it has the most stability. In the case of a sync error, the game will be replayed unless it was clear that one player was dead (for example, the game freezes with one hero at 0 health). Again, playing on PC should avoid this particular issue.
• In the case of disconnect, the player that disconnects will get a game loss unless it was clear that one player was dead (for example, the turn player drops when he is about to attack to reduce the opposing hero to 0 health).
• Send in your decklists to MOJUMBO at least 1 hour before the regional event you are taking part in begins. We will be randomly checking gamelogs to make sure players aren’t trying to change their deck mid-tournament.
• Evil Ascendant will be banned for the Americas regional. If it is in your decklist when the tournament starts, you will be dropped from the event!
Also, we are looking for TOs to help run the events so feel free to toss me a pm if you’re interested!

(Note: This event is only eligible to players who have not already qualified for the 2013 World Championships.)

Tips for accessing irc for arranging games with your opponents:
webchat.freenode.net is the website for IRC.
#shadowera is the main channel for SE players.
#tournament is where most tournaments meet.
I recommend at least using pc for your connection to IRC

Signups are going to be done using the forum's automated tournament system. The signup link will be posted here (and in the roadmap thread) tomorrow at 7pm GMT.

Sign-ups are being done on the Competitions section of the forum. A link will be posted when they open. See the other regionals, if you want a better idea, since theirs are open.

so...if the bug fix isn't implemented in time, EA (and it's bug) can be legally exploited? [hopefully, it's fixed by then and there isn't any issue]
