    Post Tournament Queues!

As we unveiled in the Twitch.tv live stream last weekend, the next priority feature coming down the pipeline is the Tournament Queues System. In case you'd rather not watch the recorded stream, basically this allows players to create and join automated tournaments!

    Entry Fees

100 shadow crystals for constructed (you use your own cards)
500 shadow crystals for meltdown (you keep 4 packs)
700 shadow crystals for drafts (you keep 6 packs)

    Rewards

    8 player tournament: 1st place = 500 shadow crystals. 2nd place = 200 shadow crystals.
    4 player tournament: 1st place = 250 shadow crystals. 2nd place = 100 shadow crystals.

Some major features already implemented are:
    • Best of 3 matches
    • Completely automated tournament brackets and pairing
    • Join and leave tournament rooms before committing to the fee
    • Popup notification when your tournament game is ready, even if you're on another screen
    • Chat room for the tournament lobby
    • Advanced handling of disconnects and timeouts, with the freedom to get back into the tournament if time permits

Now that Jasmine is rolling out, Tournaments are ready to hit the test server for wider testing. But first I thought I'd ask everyone for their opinion on the system and ask for constructive criticism and comments. Is this a feature you would use? What bells and whistles are we missing? Any problems you foresee?

I would definitely use this feature. My main worry is that after the hype is gone, how long it would actually take to start a tourney? Furthermore, does this mean that Wulven sponsored tourneys does not exist anymore? Or can we still ask for sponsorship

    Suggestion here:
Will there be gold entry and gold reward tournaments too? So that more players can enjoy tournaments.

I would recommend having a 1on1 feature as well.

Just something I noticed. There really should be a forfeit button to forfeit that game but not the whole match (and thus the tournament). This should speed things up as some players know when they've lost and would rather just get to the next game.

So this is up on the test server then?

I saw the recorded livestream, and I must say from what I've seen this looks pretty good. Glad this feature is here at last.

Not yet, this is more of a feedback post to change something preemptively before even the test server.

EDIT: Also, I'm pretty excited for these. I'll have a fun way to spend my SC and I'll be able to save up cards for the Auction House because I'll be keeping so many. Or I can sell them for gold and save up for set 3. But by far, I'm most excited about being able to play (at the very least) a best of 3 with my ONE meltdown deck, as opposed to just playing a single match. Way more fun to do something like that imo.

Haha, I guess I should've been able to tell this as I go to the test server and it says it's offline for a major update. But will be eagerly awaiting for it to get there.
