So why is Majiya so good with Portal?

Majiya is one of the best/most popular heroes in the game, because she's really good with Portal. But why is she the one who does it, rather than the other Mages? I mean, it seems like they could all utilize it well...

Majiya- Ability helps with control, draws you more stuff to fling through
Eladwen- Field control FTW!
Nishaven- Nuke field, flood field with Hasted things, profit
Gravebone- Two-pronged attack, fixes broken SK loops.

So I want to know, what makes Majiya stand out so much? Why is she the one winning games with Portal rather than Elad or Nish? (For the record, I'm not trying to say that Portal Maj isn't good/as good as Portal with other Mages. I'm just wondering because I don't actually know)

Shadow has allies with huge attack stats like bad Minotaur, Shadow knight, and Scourge colossus. Plus her ability draws you more threats and helps with the board. Other mages ability just helps with the board and human doesn't have the heavy hitters.

And Portal works well after 6 resource.
It is easy for majiya to pile resource in short turn due to her ability, so fit to majiya well.

Everything is correct, boobs comments included. But Scientific Railgun might find himself wondering why Majiya makes the Portal so profitable and Gravebone doesn't?
Mainly because of two features: Portal's ability, as You all know, does not haste exhumed allies with Gravebone. If so, Gravebone's based Portal deck would basically rule the games, towering both tournaments and Quick Games. Biasair correctly pointed out that the extra draw makes easier to pile resources, and it's definitely true, but IMO the ultimate advantage that Majiya has stays in having that free extra draw at no resource cost when You usually have an active Portal cast the turn before, few cards in Your hand, Oppo with little health on the other side and the draw at the beginning of Your turn was not the big 5 cost fatty You were expecting to close the match.

...i wouldn't say its about Majiya being sooo good with Portal (don't get me wrong, it does make her very very strong), but more about other heroes having other cards/startegies that work for them far better then Portal would:

Nish - stall with ability + Snow Saphire + Voice of Winter
Eladwen - weenie-rush + burn (Portal would slow her down)....or also similar strategy to the one above
GB - as it was mentioned already, IF Pportal worked for allies coming from grave it would make him way too strong, and as long as it doesn't work on those, it's not usefull enough to be included in GB builds

its not that majiya's ability works better with portal... it helps but her ability really kind of helps any strategy you use with her.. its that the other three's abilities are more conducive to other strategies.

that doesnt mean you cant have a good portal deck with any of them either. i have portal decks for all of them and they work very well. i am "famous" for my Gravebone portal (i forget the name ) even the human ones. their fatties might not have a high attack like shadow but they do have a certain fattie that is devasting when hasted. her name is raven. think of how good she is in lance and you will see it.
