reposting this in a new thread, as you closed the old one.
don't know if you just missed the post, or did not reply on purpose...
I tend to believe you may not feel comfortable replying, but well, lets see...
so then, another attempt to get some relevant info from Kyle/wulven
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
dear Kyle,
the following is based on my experience in a big and successful software company, so not without any serious background.
I would like to ask you a few questions:
- is there any quality assurance, or how many people are working as QA for wulven?
(not counting yourself... making a developer a QA engineer is like making a criminal his own judge, but you surely are aware of that, aren't you?)
- if there are any except you, are those QA engineers actually studied (experienced) QA engineers, or not?
- do you have, and if - what is the name of your product manager (you know, one of that guys that drive the whole process. Is he actually experienced as PM for a software product?)
- how many devs (except you) are currently working for wulven?
- how many of them are really experienced in coding in general & unity in particular?
I think you already know what I would like to suggest...
from my perspective it's sooooo obvious that wulven - as a software company - is extremely unbalanced.
you don't (IMO) need a sociologist... u have a great community, u have a great design team... but u obviously lack coding manpower (that's extremely obvious),
and you lack QA (also pretty obvious that u don't have a single pro QA engineer, as no serious engineer would let pass things like e.g. the last GUI update).
and the PM, well, if you had one, he would sort out a lot of the things I think u currently have to take care of... and things no one takes care of atm.
so please please please either tell me I am wrong with what I consider obvious facts,
or - if I am not wrong - get some devs and at least one pro QA dude and one pro PM.
without u will not even come close to the success you could have otherwise.
Indy or not... there is a reason for those established roles in software engineering,
so please eventually consider my words, and NO, u can't do that all at the same time
greets,
icebear
