So on a recent version of SE PC client (as well as web client) I get this:
My graphics card is old and no driver updates are available (it's no longer supported).
Previous versions of SE didn't have that issue.

The problem is, I don't really know how to help you. The version hasn't changed in quite some time, so i would have to assume that your graphics card is about to go. Although, I can't be certain on that.

I haven't played SE in some time, then I launched it, it worked fine, but I discovered that there is a new version, I downloaded it and there were artifacts, so I think it's something about update, that's why I report.Possibly :P

How did you update though? I know that radeon drivers are cumulative and cards as old as mine are legacy and no loner supported.I second this... luckily I managed to update my card that is even more older than Unrulers

This sucks. I had my card die on me a couple of years ago. Similar issue with the one on first post. Then my new card turned out to be a faulty one which reboots my system randomly. You may remember me searching a solution for it. My advice is don't get an AMD when you get a new one.
