Season 7 to End Soon!

Season 7 will be coming to a close on Monday September 16 at 9am EDT (13:00 GMT).

The next season will end at midnight EDT (04:00 GMT) on October 31, with the top player being invited to WC2013. Following that, every season will be one month in length. Prizes to the top 100 players will be given every month, including SC and exclusive foils (more exact details on this later!)

This is a direct result of player feedback, to encourage more active competition in the multiplayer rankings and also fits nicely with the weekly Meltdown Challenges and rewards.

kinda interesting but i am staying reserved on my opinion about this.
i hope ppl keep playing their own fun decks instead of playing top rated decks they copied from the forum stressfully for a foil.
top 100 is kinda hard to reach imo...a lot of ppl will be disappointed they have no chance.

really hope the ranking list will finally be ingame as well.

ranking list in game: superb idea, might take some time to implement.

let's be realistic. no one will play their 'fun' decks - if top 99 plays all their fun decks and the 100th player plays his best of the best deck, he'll start pwning the rest of the 99 and then everyone will play their best deck.

Good news!! I very glad to see a season of one month. I think this will bring a lot more player activitites and the system will not become broken like we see after several months.

My suggestion to decay system for 30 days season is loose rating every day, while one game adds one day extra.

That means, if you play 3 games in one day, you don't have to play for three days, while it would be also good to see some "decay counter" to know exactly, not just assume.

I got eaten by decay incredibly this season, not that I mind, there is nothing to play for, just fun

I just hope there will be a new rating system to go with this news, as the current one encourages NOT to play if you already have a high ranking.

Play every 24 hrs or face decay would work but that would be very harsh.

I don't know about once you hit top 100 but it seems early a winning record normally brings your rating upward. Even at the end of the month your rating still moves just more slowly.
