I play the physical version.

I want to play the physical version. I ordered the original set on the 4th with 2-day shipping. Still hasn't been shipped.

(yes I've been in contact with their support guys, they've done what they can to solve the issue, still sucks though.... If I had had a bigger bag at Gencon I could have just bought it there lol)

Fun game though. I've never been into this kind of market until SE so Ascension was my first game into this "deck-building game" genre. Apparently it gets compared to something called Dominion a lot.... I should look that up I guess lol.

I bought it straight off a local shop.

But at first I really had a hard time learning the rules (even with the rulebook) because I applied my MTG and SE logic, which messes things up. I have to say its a totally different ball game.

TCGs and DBCG (Deck-Building Card Game) are really different. In Ascension, you "acquire" cards in the Center Row (like a Marketplace) to add into your deck. As you go further, you use the cards you acquired from your ever-increasing deck to acquire more cards or defeat monsters to gain Honor points (Victory Points).

So each game, you will be building a totally different deck (with combination of different cards).

I just bought the Expansion for the first coreset a few days ago.

To those who wants to play, don't be fooled into thinking that the game is about luck. It's easy to learn but there are a lot of depth.

Yup, its not really about luck. Its about how you adapt to changes and making quick burst of decisions.

It did when I thought I was getting all the sets for 4.99. The other 15 bucks I still gotta give up Doesn't seem so worth it.
