After a few quick PvP games, I was wondering if anyone can tell me how the reward system for PvP works, I get different amount of XP and gold each win

I believe you get less for lower ratings and double that when you cross 140-ish. You got 200 XP and 40 Gold before and it changed to 400 XP and 80 Gold right?

yeah, thank you, does it get even higher than that? or is that the limit?

I don't think it gets higher than that unfortunately. There might be some plans to improve rewards, however. Different improvements have been suggested several times.

Here's to hoping for that. I'm usually no where near top tier anyway, so I probably won't see those higher rewards if they're introduced

Regarding rewards, I believe also that a losing streak will begin to diminish your XP reward for a loss as well.

Not really, since you get a flat 100xp per loss once you get past a certain level in game (10 IIRC). The max gold and xp for a pvp win is 80 gold and 400xp.

another question: from some forum posts, most suggest that lance, amber, and eladwen are the best competitive heroes, though a lot of these posts are old, any insight on the current meta?
