Either way, I have this problem a bit too. At night the white background really does get to me. Would be nice as a darker grey or something that doesn't become a hyper bright color as the sun goes down.

there shoudl definitely at least be an option to have a dark theme -- it fits the game flavor better anyway, imho, plus it was much easier to read.
