TOURNAMENT FOR PLAYERS NEW TO TOURNAMENT DP
Good days folks! My first stint as TO (Tournament Organizer, not Tainted Oracle) will be hosting the new TPNT. If you're a new player or at least to the competitive scene this is your chance to try it out! Feel free to PM me, or my trusted sidekicks BP Zhou and BP Conquest (Ha, sideckicks! ) for questions and concerns or if you just want to have a good chat in general. I personally love to talk about movies, music, books, TV series such as Doctor Who, Breaking Bad... erm... anyway... Please make sure you are actually new before joining. This pop up was made for the intention of helping new players become competitive. Anyone who has reason to suspect that a registered entrant does not follow these requirements, I highly encourage you to pm me or my sidekicks and not post it in this thread. Thank you.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. QM rating 1-275, 0 is not allowed. Players with ratings above can still sign up but will be added as reserve.
2. Be registered on the forum between 1st of March 2013 and 26th of June 2013. Players who signed up 1st of January 2013 to 28th of February 2013 can still sign up but will be added as reserve. Anyone who registers to the forums after this post is ineligible to join.
3. Has never won a tourney hosted in SE forums, placing 2nd is alright.
4. Strictly no alternate accounts. Seriously guys, thanks.
5. Your name can't be Mip or Raphael Majere.
SIGN UP:
To sign up for this tournament post your forum name, in-game name (IGN), your QM rating, and timezone in GMT format following a first come first serve basis. Tournament starts as soon as we reach 16 players.
Example:
Forum Name: Zigbigwig
IGN: Zigbigwig
QM Rating: 250
Timezone: GMT+8
Catchphrase (Optional): Gettin' Ziggie With It
RULES:
1. Each round consists best of 3 games. Hero and deck locked, meaning same deck and hero for the entire tournament.
2. Standard 16-player tournament, 3-4 reserves.
3. “Millstalker” is banned. If you want to use Moonstalker you should have at least 12 allies in your deck.
4. Deadline for each round is 6-7 days. Please contact me or my sidekicks via this thread or PM if somehow you and your opponent requires an extension.
5. Please obey the rules. and keep each other accountable. I trust you guys on this. If there is any suspicion of foul play, please report to me.
6. Players caught of foul play will be disqualified.
7. The standard rules apply. As usual,
- First game start is random, second game is started by whom went second in the first game, and third game is random again.
- If a game ends in a draw, it must be repeated, with the same order of starting turns.
- A sync error will have to be replayed with the same order of starting turns, unless a player concedes.
- A frozen game will have to be replayed with the same order of starting turns, unless a player concedes.
- If a player is disconnected during a game, the victory goes to the other player unless BOTH players agree to replay or a player concedes.
- The one who lost connection losses the game UNLESS the opponent decides you give a replay. If the 'Disconnected' timer comes up and runs out, that player is the one with experienced the DC. The winner should get a victory screen while the loser gets the defeat screen.
8. A sync error is when both players sees that it's their respective opponents's turn for a significant period of time while no one can make any moves. Sync error games needs to be replayed. If its the first or third game of three games, the random who goes first still applies. Hence a sync error game with player 1 going first does not imply that the same player must go first for the re-made game. The case only applies for game 1 and 3. In game 2, If there is a sync error, it's very clear which player must go first in the re-made game.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:
Props to my fellow BP brothers for helping me sort out all this and to Zhou and Conq for acting as support TOs. Specifying the requirements was a pain in the ass to analyze. To those who are joining, good luck and I hope you enjoy the tourney.
