Usability contest: Rider of Ellos vs Mystc of the Vale

Riders. No contest.

We can talk about how mystic has a generally more useful ability and is more survivable, which I will agree with, but at end of the day I have decks that include riders of Ellos, but no decks that use mystic of the vale.

I don't generally play humans so i can't comment on which i'd rather use. But in my experience playing against them i'd be far more afraid of a mystic then rider of Ellos. I wish as a shadow player i could use her.

What do you mean? Because it's 4 cc?

IMO Ridders are good only if you can get 2 out there for the bonus damage.. Which works really well with Lance. If I'm unsure or know I won't be playing another Ridder soon I'll probly sac it for something else.

Can't speak for mystic of the Vale as I've never used them.

another great combo is playing the rider behind an Aeon.
To be honest i've seen next to no player using the mystic in the latest games I've played.
Not to mention that the riders attack can help you deal with the likes of shadow knight.
Anyway I guess if the mystics ability was to destroy the attachement rather tahn "retreat" it I would reconsider (but then again that would be an overkill)

Mystic is better, just because she's pretty darn hard to kill. She can't dish out much damage, but she can do a bunch of poking, while being not dead.
