Only those who move to the lower part of the brackets need to change their hero while those remaining in the upper brackets have to use the same hero (hero-lock sorts of)!

Well, you can still change your hero, if you play 1:1! Although I'm pretty sure you wouldn't mind winning with your current choice!

You can / have to use Banebow (your current hero) until you play 1:1 - then you'll need to switch to someone else!
