Black Garb vs Scourge Colossus

What will happen?Scourge Colossus dealing combat damage to hero with Black Garb. will Colossus be destroyed due to Garb's ability? or both be destroyed? or only Garb destroyed?

also, what if Colossus was attacked by Katar with 1 durability and with Garb equipped? Thanks.

Heya,

When Scourge Colossus deals combat damage to a hero with Black Garb both cards will attempt to trigger and resolve at the same time. To determine which happens first we use the Standard Resolution Order (SRO) found on page 19 of the rulebook. In this case, the turn player's card will resolve first so if the turn player attacks with Scourge Colossus targeting a hero with Black Garb then Scourge Colossus' ability will trigger and resolve first causing Black Garb to be destroyed. Because Black Garb is no longer in play it will be unable to trigger and resolve successfully so Scourge Colossus will not be killed.

If you attack a Scourge Colossus with Golden Katar then Scourge Colossus will defend as normal for 4 damage (5-1 from armor) and then be killed by Black Garb's effect. Scourge Colossus' ability only triggers if it is the controller of Scourge Colossus' turn.
