Has anyone besides me been having an abnormally long log-in time? Once I'm on the site and click on the "play" tab and it takes me into the log-in screen, when logging in I'm waiting about 10 minutes for it to get to 100% (8:37 seconds)...I feel this is too long. Anyone else having this inconvenience??
Side note: Once I'm in it runs fine though.

How much is your rate?
In Quick match, you encounter opponent who have -50-+50 rate from your rate.
rate avarage is about 250ish, so if your rate is near to 0 or 350, it maybe took a bit long minutes.
Or, perhups do you play old version app?
Current shadow era app is "shadow era : Dark Prophecies", which has diffrerent server with old app.

oh, I misreaded it is quick match.
When you login first time to new version (such as Ver2.01), it took long time to log in.
Next time, I think you can log in quickly, can't you?

This is before I get into the actual playing site. I'm talking about at the loading screen where the game is loading to 100% and then you press play.(background is a picture of Blood moon)...at this part is where it is taking forever for me it seems.
I play SE on my computer. and have the current version Dark Prophecies.
Do you have your browser set to delete its Cashe? Usually if I do that it takes some time to download the resource packs and what not. So if your browser is constantly deleting them, that would explain why it does it every time.
If not I'm not sure whats up.

You could also just use the non-Web client version. Unless you are not on a Windows or Mac.
I experience this too when I play. Loading time takes a while every time. This started when they updated to 2.0.
Using the non-web client version was the solution for me. But it's awkward to chat in IRC at the same time.
It depends on your browser's cache settings. If you have a small cache size limit or if you have been viewing certain high res images I don't want to hear about (or you are private browsing or clear history), your cache will become full and the browser will delete the SE card image data that it downloaded.
Okay. Because I noticed that I can download the live version quickly but when I changed to test server it took forever.

You need to download the standalone game.
