The Apprentice Tournament

The Wulven apprentice got me thinking about making a tournament this way.

16 players separated in two teams.

Each week, your team chooses a project manager and you have a task to perform. It could be games, deck building, balancing, etc.

The losing team's project manager will choose two people to come into Fire Snake

's lair to debate for your life. Fire Snake

will tell me who will get fired, literally, based on the task, what you did and what you have to say.

This goes on until we have our final 4, you are no longer in teams then and will have to perform tasks on your own. Fire snake will fire 2 people that week.

In the finals, the players who got fired may come back to help the finalists.

Note that Fire Snake

will eat me and two other people to help with the decision to fire someone.

As much as it sounds interesting, I think it should be an invitational tourney to make it work as planned. You could have players apply and then u pick the ones u're certain that they're active and will be committed to play to the end. Good luck!

Agreed. Not everyone can meet up often with their teammates to discuss strategies and deck buildings. Most can only play matches.

One issue with that suggestion, though. Wulven won't sponsor the prizes. You could have your guild sponsor them, or require an entrance fee from each player.
