    Serena Purse-Slasher

I've been using Serena in the 'purse slasher' capacity since 'call of the crystals' first rounded out in full. But the new cards bolster this concept greatly.

I imagine this is a common sort of build for serena (relying as much on opponent cards as one's own) but let me know what's wrong with it so I can improve. I recognize that a whole lot of different cards are being used, but I think the deck is fluid enough to absorb any adverse impact of that.

    3x Lily Rosecult
    2x Armored Sandworm
    3x Night Owl
    3x Agent Rex
    3x Lyra Blackrose

    3x Assasination
    3x Assassin’s Cloak
    4x Stop, Thief!
    3x Retreat!

    3x Pay Day
    3x Procured and Restored

    2x Night Prowler
    2x Gravedigger’s Cloak
    2x Black Garb

    3x Anklebreaker

You have no draw engine. Just can-trips from allies and armors. Not good.

I find that I'm rarely lacking for cards. I used to use Reconnaissance, but found I used it more for the +1 attack than the draw so I got rid of it. I enjoy that I use the opponent's cards against them and, excepting very unfortunate drawing, usually have plenty of opportunity to acquire those cards.

Night owl also provides an occasional card, as does procured and restored.

Where might I make room for a proper draw engine while keeping the spirit of the deck focused on inhibiting the opposition?

Good idea but no. Too many armors and allies/abilities colliding. Try:

    -3 assass cloaks
    -2 gravedigger
-3 procured and restored (you got lily)
-3 pay day (it is soo situational)
    -1 retreat
    +1 assass
    +1 ankle
    +2 FOB
    +4 IGG
+3 ellicit info (use discard as draw)

Honestly enough this looks like an interesting build and no, it isn't common. Like Jets said, the lack of a draw engine really hurts. Imo

-3 Agent Rex/Lyra Blackrose your call. Both are very situational cards. How many artifacts are there in the game really?
-3 Assassins Cloak lots of better cards to make space for
-3 Pay Day too much stealing already, if he has more than 3 cards in his hand, your deck probably isn't working

+4 IGG second best draw engine in the game, not using it is a waste
+1 Anklebreaker best weapon in the game all Rogues run 4
+2 Fan of Blades THIS is what makes Serena a monster
+3 Champion of Irum it might not fit your strategy well but it provides a distraction from your hero and helps Serena's weak early game

I'm hesitant to add another Anklebreaker. With Liiy hanging around I can often get four or five Ankleberakers from the three I have. I'll Try out FoB, and I largely have Rex in for when I'm playing elementals. There seems to be consensus on certain cards so I will surely go without.

I only recently added Assasin's Cloak in order to make Rex a Nightshade in effect and to have a card to throw on turn two. I've found it helpful, but I suppose only as a novelty.

    I dig the criticism.

Nightshade is better because of ambush and Rex can steal good stuff like Tome of knowledge and elemental artifacts (most common) so I like to keep them both though I prefer NS a bit more. If you really want to mess around with ambush try Silent strike. Its like Assass cloak plus draw card and its a 2cc card.

I got rid of pay day and assassin's cloak and added FOB and Elicit information. I know some cards (Rex, Procured and restored, Gravediggers cloak, Night Prowler) seem too situational, but having all of these ensures that at least one will yield fruit. And the others then make for convenient sacks. Getting rid of too many of these things renders the strategy ineffective. Rex is just too fun against elementals to get rid of.

I do miss payday. It was very useful if I caught in in my first ten cards.

This concept with the CotC deck would sit me around 260 or 270 in ranking. Now I'm stuck around 220.

    The deck is now:

    3x Lily Rosecult
    2x Armored Sandworm
    3x Night Owl
    3x Agent Rex
    3x Lyra Blackrose

    3x Assasination
    3x Assassin’s Cloak
    4x Stop, Thief!
    3x Retreat!

    2x Elicit Information
    3x Procured and Restored

    2x Night Prowler
    2x Gravedigger’s Cloak
    2x Black Garb

    3x Anklebreaker
    2x Fan of Blades

Play a couple games with it and let me know what you think.

I must admit that without IGG Serena is null.
