In the current meta where there are only a couple of creatures with casting cost superior to 4 that actually see some gameplay so there is no reason to choose Logan over Boris. If Logan was a Mage, maybe things would be a little different, due to all the direct damage spells available to that class.
My point is that doesn't mean he is a useless hero; he has a neat hability, he just lacks the support to make it shine at the moment.

If it cost 1 or 2 less, or there was shadow battery abilities. I could see using stuff like fire snakes and brutalis to sieze board control. The way it stands it isn't playable. I get where you're going with it endless though.
