I tried yesterday with 0 rating, managed to get a game within 5mins.

If I don't get a match in 2-3 minutes I just cancel and try again right away. Usually works for me.
A few minutes, tops.
Wait ages for a game play a few turns then opponent quits.
Most often a few seconds, so long as I keep my rating in a suitable range to find opponents.
