Well the trick is: Just like RL, shuffle your cards in the electronic version too. Problem solved.

This thread contains a good in-depth discussion on the shuffle bug.

Read post #12 and #20. Stevevai1983 who is a statistician noted that there is a high chance of "clumps" in real life and electronic shuffling. The point is that the shuffling is already random, but players want it to be less random.

yeah, randomness can be so rude sometimes

    maybe its... fortune?

fortune is a bit** sometimes, and she is even worse to those who complain about her

(or the shuffle bug... which is actually her work)

ever heard about a self-fulfilling prophecy?

once you believe in the 'shuffle bug' you are cursed

Kyle and GDC are actually sitting at the server side, shuffling all decks by hand. This shuffle bugs occur, if one of them has to go to toilett at this specific moment.
My suggestion would be, to minimize the Shuffle bugs, make a casting in the Shadowera forum to find a new Shuffle guy.

I believe there is a shuffle bug on test server. It is too often that all 4 cards are in the same location. Not statistically probable. Sometimes they are in your hand (easy to see when you draw 4 straight ___ cards). Sometimes they are at the bottom of the deck (only see when the game lasts this long). Sometimes it happens in the middle of the deck (draw 3-4 of the exact same card consecutively). In any case, the frequency of which this happens is about 20x more often than on live server and it's rather annoying.

Now that I think about it, I have had that happen too. It can easily be investigated if someone gives me the server logs. *Hint hint* (to Kyle).
