    Dark Prophecies Baduruu Deck

    Total Cards: 41 (including Baduruu)

4 Flaming Arrow (possible replacement with Morbid Acolyte once the bugs are fixed)

    2 Shriek of Vengeance

    2 Ley Line Nexus

    4 Wrath of the Forest

    4 Soul Seeker

4 Ironhide Karash (shadow ally) - 2cc - 2 attack - 2HP - If combat damage dealt to Ironhide Karash is 2 or less, that damage is reduced to zero.

4 Disciple of Aldmor (shadow ally) - 4cc - 2 attack - 6HP - Immune to abilities activated with shadow energy

4 Morbid Acolyte (shadow ally) - 3cc - 2 attack - 5HP - (passive ability - 2R) Target opposing ally loses all passive abilities until the start of your next turn

4 Darkwood Wraith (shadow ally) – 5cc – 2 attack – 5HP – When summoned, target ally with a cost of 3 or less is returned to its owner’s hand.

4 Perfect Shot (hunter ability) – 4cc – Target opposing ally is reduced to 1 health.

4 Grundler's Double (Hero Item - Weapon, Bow) - 6cc - 2 attack - 5 durability - Ignores stealth when attacking. If there is exactly 1 friendly ally in play when you end your turn, draw a card.

    Explanation of Card Choices

First off, this deck is just a blast to play. Between Soul Seeker and Grundler's Double you can vary the strategy quite a bit. GD is anti-stealth and can serve as a draw engine at times. Soul Seeker is good if you need the health. Both weapons have a lot of durability and an attack of 3 when you play them with your ability (which you should always do). The deck has a solid amount of drawing power between Wrath of the Forest and sometimes GD (possible Ley Line). I don't play any Shadow Font, because unless your weapon is destroyed, the high durability of each weapon tends to balance with the time needed to collect 4 shadow energy. The 4 Perfect Shot help with taking down any big HP allies (Flaming Arrow can finish off Sandworm following a Perfect Shot if you aren't loaded up with a weapon on deck). My ally choices are set up to give you options (ideally) on T2, T3, T4 and T5 and maintain board control.

so if you have WotF out, Prowler gets unused? or do you just switch it out to put Prowler in play?

I would keep WotF in play if I still had allies on the board, however, it's a bit of a judgment call each time. If they have 1 or 2 cards in their hand, and you want to get them top-decking, then swapping shields could be a good move. It's very much a "kick-em while they're down" card. Out of all the cards in this deck build, I would have to say this card is the most circumstantial. I only play 3 for that reason and I'll always sac at least one if it's in my first draw.

EDIT - I replaced 3 Night Prowler with 4 Flaming Arrow.

You definitely have not enough 3cc cards. Now, you'll have to skip your turn 3 in 50% of the games.

Great observation. Thank you. I'm going to try 4 Flaming Arrow (3cc) instead of 3 Night Prowler. I had some real trouble contending with a couple Sandworm + attachments on the board.

Or you could try Morbid Acolyte to deal with Sandworms as well.

Ahhh, very true. Good idea. I will definitely give that a try once Morbid Acolyte functions normally (hopefully on the next test server update). I would prefer an ally over a one-turn ability as means to the same end.

I would use some PotM if not completely replace WotF with it.

That's a good idea. My logic for choosing WotF is that I will always play allies every game so it should be more consistent over the long run. In a game against a no-ally deck or only a few allies PotM would lose effectiveness. But possibly a mix like you suggested would work well. Playing a PotM in combo with Baduruu's ability could create a draw-engine the opponent can't stop from happening (not always the case with WotF).

EDIT - They should rename WotF to "Tidal Wave Insurance". That's when the card really comes in handy. At a minimum it delays the Tidal Wave if they use up a turn playing Focused Prayer.
