Make minimum number of cards in a deck 60?
Hi,
Most trading card game requires a minimum of 60 cards to play (when the 4 copies of a single card are allowed in a deck). IMO, 60 cards minimum can make decks more variable. Currently, most decks in a random matches (especially in the high rank part) are very similar if not identical.
Plus, with the next expansion of 150 shiny new cards, increased deck size would allow people to explore new possibilities.
Forgive me if this has been discussed before (even it is, the arrival of new expansion should revive this topic for re-consideration).
EDIT: from the replies, I see that many players LIKE the 40 card format; so how about make an addition game channel? (one remains at 40 card minimum and another one at 60 card minimum) so people would have a chance to choose for a consistent meta game or a variable, more luck based meta? This won't hurt either crowd?

Yes a min of 30 cards was updated to a min of 40 cards to prevent rush Zaldar decks with shard of Power, spark, firesnakes, brutalis, hellsteed, and dark flayers (my old deck ) to a more balanced drawing engine. However I do like the idea of a minimum of 60 cards I know many people would not agree to this however I strongly agree with 5dPZ.
40 cards can allow players to create a skillful deck, however I can predict almost every time what my opponents going to play. This will change in the new expansion coming next month but eventually. Players will become predictable. 60 deck cards don't support skill in TCG but more of luck and who has better cards. However putting 60 cards in a deck in SE will make cards like Bazaar, Bad Santa, meltdown, and other cards in Dark Prophecies more useful. There is however Knowledge of Tome, blood frenzy, Wrath of the Forest, Wizents Staff, Gotten Gains, Wulven Tracker, and Tainted Oracle to help draw cards.
Back to the point a minimum of 60 cards. I can not see this as a general rule of SE but I can however see this as a new game mode in the future. This game mode won't be much of skill but more of to show off cards, gamble winning or loosing, and having fun.
I used to use Majiyas old ability (those 2011-early 2012 players should remember) which let one draw cards like there's no tomorrow with Bazaar, ToK, and Bad Santa (You'd basically almost always have +4 cards in your hand) which I would run with +100 cards.
Although this wasn't a tournament winning deck I had it was FUN to play with! You also would find ways to use cards you never use, save your favorite card and always hope your going to draw that card to save your a**. This was FUN and making a game ode that requires a min of 60 cards can. Also be fun so what do you guys think?
Should Shadow Era have this game mode? If so would you play it? What are some of your experiences with big decks? Do think there fun? hate them love them?
