At 7 res after playing Forgiveness, can I cast an Aeon?

I think it is 7-2-1+1=5. Therefore, I can't but in a thread it is said it works like this currently: 7-2+1=6.

That's what you would think, but my point was it actually doesn't work like that. The equation should look like:

7-2+1

This works because one of the "-2" used to cast the ability is the same as the "-1" lost from your resource pile. I should mention that I haven't played with the card in the last three days, but I don't think the mechanism has changed since then.

Skinnay is correct. You can use the same resource you remove to cast Forgiveness and replace it with a fresh unused resource. As such, with 7 resources you would be able to summon an Aeon after casting a Forgiveness.
