Looking at the new cards from the DP set, why is Battle Hardeneda complete ripoff of the Monk from Diablo 3? In fact, if you search the images of "Diablo 3 Monk" in google, there is artwork that comes up as one of the first images and it is the EXACT image on the card!
Not sure if anyone else noticed, I didn't see anything around the forums.
I just think it's strange that this would slip by. If I'm missing something, someone please feel free to correct me

Still... Yeah ok I see he said they will probably change it, but why would they even bother to buy the rights to art depicting a character from not just another game, but one of the most popular games from one of the biggest game companies out there!?!
There is so much great original art already in Shadow Era, what's the point in buying that type of art? No one at Wulven could have thought we (the playerbase) wouldn't notice. Might seem trivial to some people, but I hope this gets changed, and I hope we don't see that happen again.

It seems that they didn't know it is Diablo 3 artwork, but also they have to buy some artwork, they aren't that big yet.

When signing on new artists we typically license their old artwork they have lying around. Besides obviously being cheaper, it's done already so it can instantly be added to a card. When you have 150 new cards it makes sense to save time when you can. Unfortunately I guess the DT haven't played much Diablo 3 to recognize the Monk
I'm not a lawyer but even if Kyle paid for the art, he still cant legally use it because that character is trademarked and that guy can't legally sell it. I would get my money back.

It does not matter if art depicts trademarked character.
If there was Porky Pig on that art, it's insufficient to just buy an art, Warner would still sue you.
