Whatever happened to expansions?

I basically only check up on this game to see if an expansion has come out yet, and obviously nothing has. Does anyone know of any announcements not on here about it? I remember reading that they planned one every 6 months, which is really slow by card game standards as it is, but it's been quite a while and nothing so far. It seems like popularity will drastically reduce if people don't have new toys to play with.

It has indeed been too long without an expansion, but one is coming. In fact, if you go to the Dev Blog section of the forum you will see various posts featuring some of the new cards that have been spoilered for the expansion. Looks like some pretty interesting will be headed our way, hopefully soon.

Hi there, Itsapaul.

Here is a status update for you (and others) on Dark Prophecies, the first expansion for Shadow Era:

We have 150 cards almost ready to be put on the public test server.

I say "almost" because this past week the Design Team and Players' Focus Group have been having fun playing with the mostly bug-free set on the private Design Server, getting a decent idea of the balance of the set while the remaining known bugs are solved.

Once all the known bugs we've found are fixed, it will go on the test server for wider coverage to unearth any unknown bugs we didn't find. (There's no point it going on there now because of the remaining known bugs, but we are using this extra time to apply subtle balance tweaks to attempt to achieve at least the same or better balance we achieved with Call of the Crystals.)

After sufficient testing on the test server, the set will be sent out for live release.

As others have said, you can see about 20 spoilers of cards from the set in the Dev Blog section of the forum. More are coming next week too. And, when it hits the public test server, all the cards will be revealed.
