This guild has merged with A1 entirely, if you wish to join please check out This thread for more information.
Hello forum goers! The guild Acolytes of A1 (AA1) is now recruiting for more members!
What is AA1?
AA1 is the sister guild to the guild A1. The guild works, plays, and shares together with A1 to build members of both guilds into lasting contributors in competitive play and/or in the community. While we share the values of A1 (found here), our requirements for joining are much lower. AA1 is a place for players to grow as members of the community and as a part of a guild, therefore we look more for those willing to grow and improve rather than those who are already exceptional members of the community.
I don't get it, you're two guilds?
Both guilds still have their independence. The Acolytes have their own section of the A1-Alliance.org forums that is private from regular A1 members. This forum is only viewable by A1 Admins of the forum but not regular A1 members. This is done so that Acolytes can have their own internal discussions as we are still a separate guild, even in competition. However, there is also a shared section of the forums open to everyone to encourage the sharing of ideas, events, articles, ect. between the two guilds. This forms a bond between the two guilds and even allows for internal collaboration within AA1 without the need of A1's intervention. This allows AA1 and its members to grow by itself by the members working together. With both, each member will have plenty to learn and experience.
The Acolytes also have their own leadership team consisting of a Leader and a few Officers to help solve any problems the guild may face. The Leadership Team also deals with things such as applications to the guild and ensuring things run as smoothly as possible. Currently I (Demnchi) am the Leader of the Acolytes of A1.
Both guilds also share a single IRC channel to encourage chatting between the guilds and form friendships that will last.
Why should I go to the Acolytes when A1 is there?
A1 has a much stricter set of restrictions for applicants (as linked earlier) and it is much harder to be accepted if you are a new or growing player. The Acolytes we're originally formed to guide newer players to becoming members of the community. Now, we take players of all levels, but still maintain that relationship that helps members grow and succeed.
Once a month, A1 will invite a member of the Acolytes to join their ranks. They will have to leave AA1, if they accept (you never have to accept, its an option not a requirement). However, they will still maintain contact and it will barely feel like they left at all. As a member of the Acolytes since the beginning, I can tell you this is very much true. Many of the ex-AA1 members who are now in A1 are still active and communicate with AA1 members all the time. Both guilds are, in fact, like one big happy family. A family who occasionally gets into bunkers and has snowball fights.
So your requirements are less than A1's, but what are your requirements?
Our requirements are simple. You stay active and friendly as a member of the guild and the community. Once an application is submitted, every member of the Acolytes may review the application and voice their opinion. The most looked at factors will be Activity Levels (forum posts and/or games played) and just how you act in general. If everyone feels you would be a good fit, then you would be accepted. You are only expected to stay reasonably active and communicate with the guild. We do activity checks monthly, and inactive players will be removed. However, we do not punish people for not being able to make it due to other reasons, we all understand, life happens. We only ask that you give us some notice when its convenient.
The only other requirements is that you also wear our guild tag in your in game name (IGN), our tag is "AA1", and have the name of the guild in your forum signature. Changing your IGN costs 100 crystals, but the guild will take care of that for you.
Sounds good, so how do I join?
You may join by sending an application by PM'ing me (Demnchi) or any of our officers (Deja Vu or qaz92zaq). You may do this here or on A1-alliance.org/forums. In the application be sure to include the following information:
1) What's your IGN (in game name)?
2) How long have you played and why do you like SE enough to join a guild?
3) How did you find out about A1-AA1 and why would you like to join us?
4) Who is your current favorite hero and describe your play style if you can?
5) Do you or have you played any other TCG or CCG games, or any games you think might be interesting to A1-AA1?
6) How do you see yourself contributing to the guild?
7) Are you involved on the forums or IRC chat rooms? If so, let us know a little about your involvement.
8) Have you been a member of any other guild? How long do you intend to remain a member of AA1?
9) Please share with us a little bit about yourself, A1-AA1 is a community of gamers and we would like to know a little more about you.
Please answer all the questions as best you can, we can't get to know you if you don't let us know about you! Good luck and have fun. We will review your application and get in touch with you as soon as we can!
Ps: Remember that in AA1 we only require your activity within our community and the will to improve your skills.
Note: Since every member of the Acolytes are allowed to review an application, we ask that you give us between 1-3 days to review your application giving everyone a chance to view it. Thanks.
If you are a player looking for a place to learn, grow, and share ideas with others who will become your friends and comrades. Then the Acolytes of A1 is for you!
